Step 1: Initial Consultation

Initial face to face appointment to understand your symptoms, perform a scan, go through treatment options and create a tailored treatment plan.

Step 2: Treatment of feeder vein

This involves sealing off the main vein trunk that feeds the varicose veins (the lumpy veins) by radiofrequency ablation or foam sclerotherapy.

At the same time the lumpy surface veins (varicosities) can be removed (phlebectomies) if you wish.

Foam sclerotherapy is used to block off any remaining veins after your feeder veins has been sealed off.

You may need more than one session in order to complete the treatment depending on the size and complexity of your veins.

Step 3: Treatment of surface veins (lumpy veins)

At the check up we do a scan to ensure that the feeder vein is sealed off and that you are pleased with the results.

Your surgeon will discuss any further treatment you may desire such a microsclerotherapy
